Now we need your votes to help us be named as finalists!

We are delighted to announce we have been shortlisted for the national Charity Film Awards!

However, voting has now been reset so now we need your votes in order to be named a finalist this March.

Our video explores the lives of two of our members, Elaine and Hashum, showing just one example of how our Community Clubs inspire more disabled people to be socially connected through sport.

Meet Hashum, an enthusiastic Dutch student with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and a learning disability. Hashum moved to London from Amsterdam in 2007 and found it difficult to find suitable activities. In turn, he struggled to form friendships.

Cue Elaine, an extremely social Londoner with a learning disability and hearing impairment. Elaine attended many activities in her community but lacked a real companion to share her experiences with - until she met Hashum at one of our Community Clubs.

Born 337 miles apart, Elaine and Hashum are a friendship made in heaven and are now inseparable.

Each of our Community Clubs empowers disabled people with the confidence, social skills and independence to be more active, more often and feel part of their local community.
