Join us and support London's biggest festival of sport for disabled people

Trustee & Paralympian Kate Grey launches our Summer Festival 2019 Appeal

On 26 July, we are hosting London's biggest festival of sports for disabled people - and we need your help to reach as many people as possible.

Held at Westway Sports and Fitness Centre, Kensington, we need to raise £5,000 to fund our flagship annual Summer Festival. Your support will help us bring together over 400 disabled adults and children from across the city to enjoy over 20 different sports activities.

Why do we need a Summer Festival?

On average, disabled people do half as much exercise as non-disabled people. This leads to health conditions such as obesity, heart disease and cancer.

Disabled people are also more likely to suffer from loneliness - nearly 67% of disabled people have felt chronically lonely in the last year.

By supporting our Summer Festival, you will empower disabled people to get involved in activities they would otherwise be excluded from, get more active and meet new friends.

Since 2015, almost 2,000 disabled people have enjoyed our Summer Festival.

Kate Grey, Trustee and Paralympian Kate Grey, said, “The Summer Festival is an opportunity for disabled people to try out lots of different sports and give them an opportunity to get involved in clubs local to them. We would love for you to support our appeal and have a brilliant impact on disabled peoples’ lives.”
