Get involved this Sunday 10th March by joining our cheering squad and help encourage our runners to the finish line!
This Sunday 10th March, nine super supporters will run the Vitality Big Half in London to raise money for Disability Sports Coach – and we want you to join us and say a big thank you to our team!
We’ll also be out earlier on the course at Mile 13 to cheer on our wonderful runners. To find out more about the race, visit The Big Half website. We hope to see you there!
Starting at Tower Bridge, the Big Half finishes at the iconic Cutty Sark and goes through the four London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich.
Running for us will be a team of seven from global management consultancy Pcubed. The team have volunteered at a range of events over the past year, including our Summer Festival, and have so far raised over £550 to support our Clubs.
Alex Dutcovici has also volunteered at our events, and is looking forward to taking on the challenge. Alex has raised a wonderful £253 so far, and is hoping to reach his £300 target before the race!
Andrei Angelescu & Alex Turner
Andrei Angelescu and his friend Alex Turner are celebrating four years of friendship by taking on a challenge that inspires others to be more active.
The pair said "By running The Big Half we want to make a plea to show that physical activity is for everyone and that by living an active life, we can become happier, healthier and more successful. And what better way to do so than supporting a fantastic cause.
To bridge the massive gap in participation for people with disabilities, Disability Sports Coach makes it possible for all disabled children and adults to have the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers, to learn new skills, take part in sports, have fun and meet new friends."
A big thank you to each of our runners – and good luck!
