Get Set, Get Active fund to support the delivery of our Clapham based multi-sports club for disabled people from April 2018 to March 2019

Community Club Wandsworth is a weekly multi-sports club for all disabled people, their family and friends in the heart of Clapham and has become integral for the members that attend. The club takes place for 36 weeks a year based at Caius House Youth Centre and members can enjoy an array of activities including mainstream sports such as Tennis, Football and Basketball, and adapted/Paralympic sports such as Boccia, New Age Kurling and Polybat.
The Wimbledon Foundation is the charity of The All England Lawn Tennis Club. Helen Parker, Wimbledon Foundation & Community Manager said: “The Get Set, Get Active Fund is about making sure people of all ages and backgrounds in our community have the opportunity to take part in some form of physical activity, so we are thrilled to support local groups providing a wide range of active pursuits. From golf for the elderly to hockey for beginners, we hope local people will have the chance to try something new and reap the benefits exercise can bring.”
All participants and staff from Disability Sports Coach are delighted to receive the funding and are incredibly thankful for The Wimbledon Foundation's support.
Community Club Wandsworth returns on the 18th September after it's summer break and all will be itching to get started again. If you want to join our weekly club in Clapham, be sure to complete the short form here before attending.
